A MESSAGE FOR 2004

The human history is something “dated”. I mean, punctuated by dates.  About 4000 years ago writing was invented; about 2650 years ago the Pyramids. Like that the years pass by and are remembered due to things that have been discovered, created and that happened during its couple of hundred years of life. Olympic Games: - 776; settlement of Rome: - 753;  Christ’s birth: 0; Roman Empire decadence: 476; Magna Carta: 1215; The Hundred Years War: 1337; the discovery of America: 1492; The French Revolution: 1789; 1875, the telephone was invented; the lamp was invented in 1878; Rerum Novarum: 1891; aspirin invention: 1899; the free plane was invented in 1906; the invention of the bra: 1913; 1st World War: 1914; The Russian Revolution: 1917; 2nd World War: 1939; Onu creation: 1945; creation of Israel: 1948; the man on the moon: 1969; the fall of the Berlin Wall: 1989; The Minsk Agreement: 1991; World Trade Center tragedy: 2001; Gulf War II: 2003.  Among  conquerings and victories, our history is also intensively marked by loss and defeats. Years go by and now it's 2004's turn. We wish this year can be noted in the future as the year when the humanity was able to invent peace.
